In the end, every right, law, property claim, moral rule, and government decree depends on whether someone has the power to enforce it. The difference is that societies build procedures, institutions, and shared standards to keep raw personal power from deciding everything instantly. But beneath the paperwork, courts, constitutions, and moral language, force is still the final mechanism. “Might makes right” is not necessarily morally admirable. It is the underlying reality that determines which claimed rights survive contact with someone who rejects them.
