The system will jump at an opportunity to invert justice under the present anarcho-tyranny when there is enough attention to be gained, and a captured, incentivized subset of women is useful to it. There just isn’t a safer path than slow courtship: investing the time to get to know the person, avoiding lawfare and unstable or scorned personalities, and documenting what matters. This case is somewhat extreme, but plenty of others show how being innocent can still produce an incident that wrecks a life or career through media attention, public opinion, college administration retaliation, and expensive lawfare.
