I used to have a first generation Acura Integra which had.. "assisted power steering". Meaning, it would "help" me steer but only while under acceleration. So it had some weird hydraulically actuated rack and pinion steering. Had to run at a high idle otherwise it was like arm wrestling a sailor whenever I needed to parallel park.
