Nice video. It's always a great reminder to see how big the world is and how many different kinds of people there are. Everything is a mix of good and bad. Such a terrible place and such a great place at the same time. Most of the people encountered seemed very nice. I know for a fact that many people in those types of positions chose to be there in most ways. I've talked to lots of homeless people myself. In NY, Vegas, San Diego, New Orleans, Miami, FT Lauderdale/Hollywood FL. Most of them choose it over being in what some call the rat race. There is a fine line and just a few decisions difference between "normal" people and homeless people most of the time. I lived in hostels in Ft Lauderdale for a couple years, mostly looking for adventure and different experiences, always with a good job. I was a restaurant GM, making excellent money. I chose to ride the bus and walk to avoid paying the government to drive. My boss eventually forced me to stop living like that. It was a fun time. I've been jealous of homeless people quite a few times and have found myself scouting spots where one could comfortably sleep peacefully outside and not be seen. Never went with it of course, but after years and years of daily work, work, work, and pressure and stress, I easily see how one could just lie down and rest. NYC would not be a place of my choosing to do so. Its been a few years for me now. Now that I'm married and have a lot more responsibilities I can't think that way.
