A lot of this will really depend on your land. Most chicken tractors aren't really mobile fortresses. You can make them that way, but it is hard because they are mobile. If I really wanted to secure a chicken tractor I'd make sure I had a coop attached to it, and I'd simply fence the entire run. So if I move the chicken tractor 4' per day, I'd have a run that was either 64' long to one shot it, or double back at 32' long, if that makes sense. I mean it also depends on how many batches you want to do, as well. I used hardware cloth a couple feet under the fence for security. I have a lot more designs to show, if I can find all my pictures. I even have a coop I made out of truck topper. I tried a lot of things, and hopefully people can learn from all my mistakes.

I forgot to mention that when moving your chicken tractor, you have to be careful. If you move it too far in one day the chickens will get confused. So let's say you're using a tractor for egg layers. They might all forget about their coop home and just sleep outside...
