Overall the experience was interesting. I'd never gone on a pheasant hunt, and I'd never seen the other side of it.  What sticks with me from this experience is some lessons: you can get paid to learn about something you're interested in (if you haven't learned how to cut up meat this would help), compounding skills (if I knew how to train and hunt with dogs I could have made even more money than just throwing pheasants out the tower and processing the ones that were shot), you don't have to care about something to make money from it (these pheasants and quail were housed at the hunting preserve, but someone else raised and sold them to the preserve).
