Unfortunately Rob is stuck in the paragidm that a degoogled phone is the be all and end all of mobile phone security and privacy. It isn't. Threats come from many sources outside of Google. His phone is still a sieve when compared to something proven like Graphene OS.

The only real security, especially now, is to go off the grid. Totally dark. No connections to anything. Not even utilities. But, we all know, that isn't going to happen. All we can do is mitigate.
