Ideally I'd setup some linux distro on it, I believe Lenovo would be the right choice

Lenovo's have been known to be excellent for Linux. But make sure your distro is working properly with the new Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake processors that Intel released this year and last. Also, not sure how AMD's new RYZEN AI chips are behaving with Linux as well as Qualcomm's. These new chips and integrated GPUs might still need some integration with Linux.

Hmm that might be it, I'll probably wait until the Ryzen AI chips behave well with linux before swapping over.
