So, they will use lots of resources to possibly get what? There is risk and reward. Once again, the people you talk about are vultures. There aren't an infinite number of them. They can't stay awake all night long. They won't all have night vision. Your scenario is ridiculous. People use high walls, castles and defense for a reason. Defense is stronger than offense. For some reason the people you have in mind are infinite and can do anything. All while everyone in a defensive position can't do anything. Okay. You can come assault my house and see how well you do...

Depending on how organized they are; if they are just some small time street hoodlums, no, but if they are a part of larger, organized wannabee warlord group, they certainly will. Very easy, just wait till you come out, exposed out in the open, while they are hidden; you shooting standing, less accurate, they shooting either prone, or behind some cover, you a far bigger target than they would be. You wouldn't stand a chance, fast, and real easy.
