While I am against removing features from technology ie: apple dongles. I can relate with the fact that all laptop mouse options kind of suck such as trackpads/touchpads. And most people I know plug a mouse into their laptop. So Their may be a market for something like this that takes up less space on a desk and offers more room to use a real mouse.

Well They didn't remove any features from the entire rest of the ThinkPad line. This is just a new model added to the current line which all keep the features this one doesn't have. I never used the TrackPoint or the buttons on the track pad
