I would not know of Jesus and maybe of Torah if it wasn't for the New Testament. Would God not preserve His word for all? The New Testament builds on the Torah and its foreshadowing of the Messiah who fulfills all of the prophesies and opens up God's promise of salvation to everyone, not just Israel. Isaiah 53 prophecies Jesus' sacrifice.
