What! I wouldn't dare to fight the King; I really respect him so much. I think he is gorgeous, but I can't resist winning the prize. Lord @dangun, get ready for battle! I have mastered Taiichi, Taekwondo, Shaolin, Karate, Krav Maga, and Kickboxing.
🔴 SCOUTING BOOK II THE KING Sovereign • Favorite • Statesman • Everything to Lose MISSION: Turn authority into action. Govern the contest. YOUR ADVANTAGES: Resources, preparation, composure, confidence, experience carrying responsibility, public trust and the ability to think rather than merely react. YOUR LIABILITIES: Hesitation, excessive caution, comfort, expectations—and the enormous psychological burden of losing to someone everyone dismissed. OPPONENT PROFILE: The Dishwasher is hungry, relentless, imaginative and accustomed to difficult circumstances. His greatest weapon is unpredictability. His greatest vulnerability is that he wants this desperately. THE GAME PLAN 1\. ESTABLISH ORDER. He needs chaos. Don’t give it to him. 2\. DON’T CHASE THE MIRACLE. The crowd wants an upset. Let him spend himself trying to create one. 3\. RESPECT HIM. Underestimating him validates his entire strategy. Treat him as dangerous from the opening bell. 4\. BE PATIENT—NOT PASSIVE. Those are different things. Think deliberately, then act decisively. 5\. REMEMBER WHAT YOU REPRESENT. This isn’t about hurting someone. It’s about demonstrating that conviction eventually becomes action. ⚠️ THE TRAP Don’t become so frightened of making the wrong decision that you make none. That’s exactly the accusation following you into the arena. Hesitation is the Dishwasher’s opening. WIN CONDITION Prevent the underdog from dictating the story. Keep your composure, control the pace, accept the responsibility of being favored—and act when the moment arrives. COACH’S LAST WORD: “Nobody needs you to prove that you possess a crown. They need you to prove that the man underneath it can make a decision.”
🟣 SCOUTING BOOK I THE DISHWASHER Underdog • Inventor • Workhorse • Nothing to Lose MISSION: Don’t fight the King’s fight. Turn certainty into doubt. YOUR ADVANTAGES: Relentless work ethic, endurance, improvisation, creativity, hunger, unpredictability—and the freedom of being underestimated. You live under pressure every day. He doesn’t know what you’re capable of because almost nobody has bothered to find out. YOUR LIABILITIES: Inexperience, limited resources, eagerness to prove yourself, and the danger of becoming reckless when an opportunity finally arrives. OPPONENT PROFILE: The King is composed, respected, well-resourced and accustomed to authority. But he is cautious, reluctant to act and carrying expectations you aren’t. His reputation is inside the ring with him. THE GAME PLAN 1\. SURVIVE THE BEGINNING. Don’t try to become a legend in the opening minutes. Let him discover that you aren’t disappearing. 2\. CREATE UNCERTAINTY. You’re an inventor. Think like one. Be adaptable and difficult to predict rather than trying to overpower him. 3\. MAKE HIM DECIDE. Hesitation is his vulnerability. Force choices. Every unresolved decision increases his discomfort. 4\. MAKE HIM WORK. You know long days. You know exhaustion. Turn endurance into an advantage. 5\. LET THE PRESSURE CHANGE SIDES. Nobody expects you to win. Everybody expects him to. Every success therefore means more for you—and costs more psychologically for him. ⚠️ THE TRAP Don’t become obsessed with humiliating the King. You don’t need to prove you’re better than him. You need to prove you belong in the same arena. WIN CONDITION Drag the contest away from privilege, predictability and ceremony and toward adaptability, persistence and nerve. COACH’S LAST WORD: “They’ve underestimated you your entire life. Don’t correct them too early. Let the King underestimate you, too—and make him discover his mistake one minute at a time.”
