There is bias on my part because I am making an assumption that there will be many middle-class people who are too busy to look at the SpaceX ipo prospectus, and put faith on a very public figure. They will also, like me, not have enough money to be able to get “in” on the pre-IPO price release. So for this reason, I will check myself because this is based on pure bias from my past experience in buying IPO stock

I have no comparable experience. My understanding of the point of owning stock is to receive dividends as a company owner, and that persons who expect to "buy low, sell high" generally don't do very well.
