They will do some accounting shenanigans in the future to keep everything propped up. That is why digital currency will be so "needed" to remove all the excess from these past few years of printing currency. Most other countries do it as well, America just has the largest military, that is why the dollar is the reserve currency. 1 trillion was just initial estimates for the Pentagon this budget year, seems like we have gone well past that already. As bad as America is, people around the world still find value in the dollar over their own currencies still...

"They will do some accounting shenanigans in the future to keep everything propped up." Of course. That's the natural course of the river we float on. Personally, and I think that I am on solid ground here, I believe that ultimately stablecoin fits the role perfectly. The biggest looming financial disaster is the the bond market. Countries (central banks) are not buying the debt as we need them to worse yet many are forced to sell. The worst of the worst for us is Japan and we are going to go full QE with bond buy backs. Super no bueno. Stablecoin is a way to suck the money out of private hands and force it into buying treasuries. Also better than CBDCs because it would not have the restrictions or federal regulations that the government would have to abide by.

Yeah, they are going to have to make the dollar into something else while condensing the over-inflated currency. Unfortunately all we have are elected officials who come into office every 4 years or so. How could the system be stable? You get new idiots who think they know best every few years. Of course their "go-to" is turning the money printer on.
