Recession is here, look into it, man. And we're still in Qualitative Tightening. We haven't even started loosening the markets. We're basically at stand still on the Fed balance sheet, declining at snail's pace. The way the Fed buys bonds back is they buy them "off market" from the banks. The Fed has a monetary policy that has to transition from QT into a "balanced budget." This is what they call [Policy Normalization](https://www.federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/policy-normalization.htm). Then it'll go into QE when the economy keeps getting worse and they have no choice.
