I don't participate much in discussions about how this site operates. I first saw soj.ooo talked about after I had been watching Matt Kim podcast on youtube for several months, and the impression I got was that it was something Matt and Peter were building. I never really understood who the site moderators were...assuming logical was part of the team. I think all the new features added recently are great. I am a proponent of being able to edit comments because I personally am sloppy, and sometimes need to edit bad grammar, misspelling, etc. - sometimes I want to add to what I have written, or change how I said it so being able to edit for at least an hour after a post would be great. I also like that posts aren't removed by admin, and are recorded on block chain. Overall, I think this is pretty awesome platform. The people are what will make it...the people here now are interesting. The trolls make me laugh. I learn a lot from even those I disagree with. There has never been anyone I have wanted to "block". For the most part, you can just tell someone you don't agree on whatever you are talking about and move on. Some of the people that have irritated me the most have also made me laugh, and taught me things. I learned a lot from reading this thread and the comments within. Some of it is pretty disturbing. I'm interested in how it all plays out so I will stick around.

It feels like the last few people left are akin to the coffin-bearers during a funeral. We've all got one hand left holding on, but I think we're all aware it's headed towards the hole that's been dug and we're gonna have to let go. But, with the included morbid curiosity of *what would happen* if we held onto the coffin as it were lowered into the grave site. Or - not so dramatic: going to a spaghetti house wearing all-white and hoping against hope that we will not leave with tomato stains on our clothes.
