Oh okay, so why is it *defaulted* to propaganda sorting? I'm sure that an unknowing user would know to do that, or would even know of the default.

no you would have to spend a lot of time posting, commenting and noticing things to see how it works. And how it works is all up to the users soon with the DAO As I myself and multiple times suggested some sort of comment sorting in threads for users.
