Apologies, I did not see your question or would have replied. There are several ways to gain citizenship here. There are newer ways that require certain income levels. The most common way for normal people is through residency. After spending 5 years in MX one is eligible to apply for citizenship. A 6 month visa costs only $30 so it can be a fairly simple process. I'm glad I said something. I often miss a reply, too. You clarified my question, TY. Is it a problem bringing one's belongings? One of the most unfortunate things, I find, is how little one would get for selling something compared to the high price they'd have to pay to buy the same item of cheaper value. I'll really start thinking about visiting. If nothing else, it would be a break.

When I came into MX I had a camper on the back of my truck. As long as the vehicle has proper paperwork its not an issue. And you should think about coming for a visit. Its as cheap of a vacation as there is at least. A whole weeks visit will cost no more than the plane ticket which is by far the worst part. Look up my town Atlixco if you want to. We're just 30 minutes south ofMexico's 4th largest city Puebla. The old fashioned and laid back way of life here is truly amazing. And the carnival season is about to get started. I would be happy to show you what I'm always talking about
