If you tell me the rest of what you wrote is genuinely relevant I'll go ahead and read it. I stopped at the point where I don't consider the verse before it. Your point, obviously is that there is a "high handed sin" and that what follows is an example of that. You could perhaps have a point if not for, well, a whole bunch of things, actually, but the preceding explains that there are two ways to sin: less egregious and more egregious. What follows only works for you if you allow the cherry pick that they skipped providing an example of the less egregious and only used one for more egregious. Now, I'm reeling you back in here to where we started. Your claim is that they consented to the law. Consent requires understanding. Nobody understood it. Nobody. I am absolutely guilty of showboating and grandstanding, expanding the narrative and blowing my own horn. But, let's not lose sight of what it is you're claiming and I'm disputing. You're claiming this is exemplary of consensual governance, and the reason why is because they said the words: "We agree." Well, what did they think they'd agreed to? And, by the way, if they thought they'd agreed to kill anyone who looked at them funny your point would still stand. Wouldn't it?
