Very good to hear your take on this. We have much in common with the voice recorders. Thousands of hours.....I was using a Voice to Type program for a while....worked quite well. I wonder if you remember when Dragon Naturally Speaking first came out.....lol Something like 85% accurate...and that was a boast at that time.....the translation itself was useless. It took 10-15 years before they got that up to over 95%....then 99.....amazing progress. Which is partially why I am interested in your usage of AI. Another poster here, @Sonatime ,also uses AI to refine, and research, etc.... We have had some great conversations...though we may often disagree on certain topics...we remain respectful....which is a rarity here....so you may find him a good user to know on this site., as well. I have yet to make good use of my voice recordings....still looking for a better system...which you seem to have some experience with....which is good. And here we are. Peace.😇

Thank you for the kind reply and for sharing your experience. I did use Dragon Naturally Speaking for a while myself — initially impressed, but that faded quickly. When you're constantly hunting down errors and refining output, you end up spending as much time correcting as you do actually writing. Whether that's entirely fair to the software or not, it was my experience. Here's what got me interested in it, though: I once crossed paths with a fellow truck driver who wrote Louis L'Amour-style Westerns — claimed to have written dozens of books from behind the wheel. He swore by Dragon, and that was enough to make me want to try it for myself. Funny how one conversation can send you down a road. I'll definitely look up Sonatime — sounds like someone worth knowing on a platform where respectful disagreement is apparently a rare commodity. That's the only kind of disagreement worth having, in my view. We don't have to agree on everything. We just have to keep the conversation worth having. And here we are. 🤝
