Not believing in a god isn't a group or club. Joining a religion is advocating for that religion.

Making an ass of yourself about what you do or do not believe is joining a big club, taking sides, assuming responsibility for the relevant actions of the most relevant players. At least it is when you try to attach responsibility for what someone did centuries in the past to people who share one common point with them today. By your logic, you are responsible for communism. You want Christians to feel responsibility for things that happened centuries before they were born. You take responsibility for the crazy shit "your side" did. You're exactly like a blacktivist. Anything black people do now is white people's fault, anything white people did then is white people's fault today.
