Dude was a bad shock value comedian for a while, got famous playing the Ukrainian president on a TV show, then actually got elected. It blows my mind how quickly everyone forgot this.

Yea I was aware of it and I think that the music video of him in leather is more parody then reality but it gets lost in translation, and the original music video he is parodying seems to be irrelevant to the US so we look at this and believe this is the original and not a copy of a viral Ukrainian dance song of some sort, so it looses context in translation and doesn't compute as comedy because of ukraines really (in my view) terribly unfunny concept of what constitutes as funny. I have seen other clips of him in his acting days that clearly were supposed to be comedy but americans (like myself) have been tricked that it was just like cringey embarrassing clips of him resurfacing
