I will take the bait on the math thing. I will argue it has been natural selection and millions of years of hard fought evolution that got us here. Animals evolve to their environment.

Agreed. Cicadas are a case in point, how a simple organism figured out complex mathematics. It's a window that math is the language of the universe, ibid the language of god. Whatever you try and explain about the cosmos ends up mathematical.
