The god of the OT came to save one people from the desert. It is their god they made up. Let them have their god. If there is such a thing as a creator I doubt they worry about being worshipped or things like that. Do you have kids? After you and your significant othered had the child, do you make them worship you? How about needing things to be sacrificed for "sin"? When did humanity learn about all these rules? When did stone tablets go out to all peoples in all languages? Where do you get this idea of a creator from?
