I guess you were looking for the answer "Da Jews" or "Zios"? Were you looking for an easy answer instead of the truth? Which part of HUMANS create secret societies is wrong? But why you ask? Because it is human nature to conquer one another. Religious books teach you that you are better than another human because you believe a certain book or god. The joy a human gets from "knowing" more than another human or being in a secret group is why they exist. This comment from @sonatime is why secret societies exist.  People want to look down upon others who don't believe like they do. Because this person believes in a "holy" book that doesn't make sense and can't defend the book, they say I'm a man wrestling with rogue estrogen. Why did Native American aka Indians have tribes? The same reason people have secret societies. In group preferences.
