😅 this like other deGoogle iptions sounds great, but... can yall walk us non technical folks through like step by step as would be teaching a child?

There will be an online tutorial somewhere from /e/os. The first thing you should understand is whether or not your existing phone is compatible to be flashed for this OS. Maby manufacturers make it really difficult to unlock the boot locker, particularly Samsung. Google are ok with it, you can't really buy a cheap Google Pixel these days. Amazon do you have a spring sour going on right now so you might be able to pick one up for a good price.
