zenny: I see where you're coming from, but this seems like a strange position to take. Not that God wouldn't grant clemency to the young, but it seems to be almost as though God condones the crimes of those whom he takes before the age 40. There are consequences for crimes, but there is also mercy for the context in which they happen. A crime out of ignorance is not the same as a crime out of arrogance. zenny: What about the mentally deficient 40+ they can't be judged the same as you or I? Likewise what about the mentally mature 38 year old? Again, there are consequences for crimes. However, choosing heaven or hell requires information, practical examinations (to see our response to the information given) etc. A merciful God is aware of our context, physical abilities etc. We are either mature in our youth or as adults, for life teaches truthful lessons, but denial makes some of us explain it away. Some of us are quick learners, while others are slow learners, and others deluded (for we can't keep on doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome). #Quran chp 6 ver 46 Say, "What if GOD took away your hearing and your eyesight, and sealed your minds; which god, other than GOD, can restore these for you?" Note how we explain the revelations, and note how they still deviate!
