I lived w the Dutch for 6 years. They taught me that, in general, signaling is a bad idea. Its cool to do the fireworks on NYEve, and to paste everything Oranje for the football games, but otherwise even having a nice car is frowned upon. I didn't like it, but I tolerated it to be part of the greater good.
