I think that also ties into the 'coming to Jesus like a child' thing I mentioned. Children don't have egos. Well they may have them these days, but typically it takes a while for a child to become programmed into their ego by their surroundings and influences. It takes living in the world for a bit, and being influenced by it before you grow into your ego. So it may very well be that this is part of what he meant when he said to be childlike when coming to Him.
