Nothing wrong with skepticism. Yes, old testament context is necessary to fully take in what (I believe) God used Ron for. You wont find much as far as professional looking presentations. Its all raw stuff mostly. He found alot more than the Ark of the covenant tho. He found Noah's Ark in Turkey as well , if you can believe that. You can go to it still today. Its made of petrified wood. Don't look at it as separate story from the new testament, really it's what sets up the new testament to even exist and make complete sense. Some people think it's for the Jews, and Christians have the new testament and don't need to worry about the old. I would argue that without a grasp of how Israel came about, then you can't fully understand the significance of the things that took place in the life of Jesus. But there are levels to understanding, different for each, and it's most certainly a non-salvific issue if you dont understand those things. Jesus said it's best to come to him as children would, and children don't know these things. They can't even conceptualize them. So you're right that for some, too much info without the context that makes that information useful can be a big hindrance to progress, it can even send you backwards. I understand what you mean. I'll pray for your family member. I don't see why a Christian pocha would NOT be a good place to post something like that, if that's what you're looking for. I haven't peeked in there yet, but I def will.

I remember Noah's Ark possible location, pictures of the location and the petrified wood looked interesting. I mean to reread OT to understand if the Ark of the Covenant was meant to be searched for/found. It is not the sense I can recall automatically. New Testament - because I wanted to explain some of the Christian hope in the TLDR format but I agree the whole bible needs to be understood. My skepticism arises from everything even from the information that naturally appeals to me. I just like to evaluate its possible influence on faith and always the two possible authors God or the Devil. I don't believe all Christian denominations and doctrines came to be out of simple human fallibility. I used to think Hospices were a great idea but there is more sordid stuff happening there. Simply put whenever a person deals with pharma and institution they need help to oversee procedures and protocols. Dying in peace in your own time is almost a luxury.

Well, they kinda just stop talking about the ark of the covenant after the 1st temple was destroyed when Nebuchadnezzar seized Jerusalem. Which to me is an invitation from God to look further, even though most readers don't even notice it's missing. Doesn't say it was meant to be looked for, but it doesn't say it was lost either. The Ron Wyatt story is a rabbit hole, takes some investigation to get to the bottom of it. For many, seeing what he found makes the stories of the Bible real. This helps them to progress forward with more confidence in their spiritual trajectory. But many say it's bullshit too, but they don't have an argument other than ad hominem attacks, and his lack of credentials. Neither means squat to me. Hospice is never a good thing. Med/Pharma just milks people, and when you're dying, you're just a statistic with puffy pockets to them, it seems. I believe the whole point was to make it into how you described it, and then some. It ain't right.
