After extensively dealing with shills on other forums I initially didn't clearly understand Sacredcow's stances, style of debating or if the arguments were in good faith. But if someone is here voluntarily because of genuine interest we have to cut each other some slack. Genuine debate makes us aware of what others are thinking and a chance to get in touch on topics and if that doesn't work out, an easy way out is to bow out or ignore until another time. Attacking someone on personal level has to be poor form and doesn't add or prove anything in debate. Nothing wrong with disagreeing etc but make it useful for us to read and understand and not just reactive. We are all guilty of something here. For example, I thought your tone was a little passive aggressive after I posted about "UK shouldn't have given up guns" but I didn't mean it in a personal way and I wasn't posting that from a position of superiority because we are all in the similar situation when it comes to government control. And didn't mind your question even if they felt like you were digging for something:) My two cents:)
