I think you ask very brave questions that prompt excellent discussion. The respondents are well thought out as well. Not offensive. 🙏 perhaps the “stereotype” is that we, in the US, have forgotten to teach our girls to be nurturers ? And that the stereotype is that Asian women are more nurturing? Not sure. I feel sorry for guys these days in the age of “I hope she swipes right”

You’re right there. I think American culture forces young women, of all types, to be “strong” and independent which isn’t the real kind of strong and that “independence” undermines all relationships. We raise aggressive and combative people who can’t reflect and be self-aware. I think that reduces what nurturing looks and feels like.

Modern culture has become toxic for many reasons and influences. I think a lot of the poor resulting behavior has become normalized and that is a handicap that can set in for life. Never had to use dating apps and probably would never but even those became manipulative to exploit both sexes to collect as much money as possible. There is more income opportunity in keeping people miserable alone than matching them together.
