Loved the judge dropping contempt sentences for every offense. Stupid judge releasing her old middle-school friend is why judges are supposed to recuse themselves if they have a connection to the defendant. She should be sued by his victims for complicity in his crimes.

That was pretty wild. And then she went and hugged him when he got out of jail. Is that supposed to be heartwarming?

It just demonstrates why she shouldn't be a judge. At least she had the good sense to recuse herself when he came back. But, yeah. I think that was supposed to be the point. Instead it demonstrates the dichotomy of sympathetic white women and opportunistic black men, justifying the stereotypes of both.
