Yes I've heard of abiotic oil. While Simpletons associate 'Fossil' with 'Dinosaur bones' in my brain cavity It means any organic life. Such as leaves. The real key point here is that they try to make it "Scarce" so they can inflate the price and control the commodity. Whether oil comes from dead plants, or a different process is kind of irrelevant, both processes provide abundance. At the end of the day isn't biological life just part of the earths natural processes anyways? Carbon is all over the planet, all over the universe. Carbon is the basis of life. So whether the 'oil' came from fossils here on earth, or from the stars, or from carbon being ground up and heated by the earth's mantle. The Term Fossil fuel, doesn't offend me. The artificial scarcity offends me. The point is that they raise the price and control the flow. Rather than let us peasants benefit from oil's abundance. Just my opinion on the subject... Now the debate about "What is Carbon?" and all of the applications and future tech of Carbon. Where does carbon come from? Now that is interesting to me.

"Scarcity" pisses me right the fuck off, because it is blatant bullshit... If it was scarce, ... well just make a list of everything that is made from petrol production. Every beverage container, pharmie, furniture, clothing, tools, auto upholstery, my laptop, cellular, eye wear.... vitamin containers, in my immediate 6' radius I just tallied up 38 items... All made of plastic, which is, of course a petroleum by product.

exactly, it's so scarce we make everything out of it. Better raise the prices!
