I doubt they were worried about a fossil. When they bombed something the bombs fell all over the place. I think like 5% of bombs hit a target or something like that.  1000 ft radius...

Yeah, it's not anything I subscribe to, just a conspiracy I happened to read that I have yet to hear which isn't often that I'll hear some new conspiracy theory

War has blown up a lot of historic buildings, information and treasures for sure. That would be an interesting "ice berg" to do. The conquering armies always come in and tear apart the losing cities or countries god. Burned libraries. Fired bombed Tokyo. Japan invading China just a few short years ago and the devastation they did to that country. Obviously all the middle eastern conflicts with all their gods, they always label any differing information as heretical and burn it. Is there an ice berg on the files in the Vatican?

Does anyone know what exactly the Vatican library actually contains? It's 50 something miles of shelving, I'm sure the extent of what it actually contains is incredibly secretive, it likely is full of stolen artifacts, hundreds of years of lost civilizations history, basically anything stolen and "burned" during the crusades is actually being held underneath the Vatican, I doubt that they'd admit the true extent of knowledge and artifacts they're in possession of, but I'll look into it, see what I can find.
