Ah! No. I know a guy who's church group hired mercenaries to rescue kids in Asian countries. He was never personally involved in vetting the mercs, nor ever met them, or ever wanted to. My impression is that anyone not directly involved was kept minimally informed with the exception that they were presented with accomplished rescues on a regular basis. So, my knowledge is third hand at best and that guy is no longer associated with that church or even within 500 miles of them. My belief is that the story is true, but I really can't provide you with any actionable information. What I can tell you for certain is that they not only don't work for free, they don't work cheap, and without the resources of a significant group to pay them, they're not going to be risking their lives and spending 100K plus to run a rescue operation. As to your hatred of pedos and practicality, without the thread in front of me, I think I was trying to push towards a lower sensitivity to what I see as relatively innocuous sketchy stuff and concentrating on what I see as a very real and pervasive group like 764, CVLT, Greggy's Cult, etc. who prowl online childrens games like roblox and minecraft. Someone drooling over early Brittany Spears doesn't quite measure up in my world to predators responsible for directly torturing and killing children.
