I will only object to "lazy." They become "forlorn" due to the circumstances deliberately and systematically laid out to them. Lazy, to me, is more like having what you need to function and be integrated into society with opportunity to thrive, then do nothing with it.

Exactly. Like gen Z, who have mostly given up. Who can really fucking blame them? I'm a millennial, live on disability. I hate socialism and yet live off of it. I want a normal life, but I refuse to participate in my own slavery. I qualified for welfare, I live a pathetic, meager existence, and I'm waiting for a mass societal revolt in which everyone realizes none of this gets better so long as everyone is distracted with their jobs which aren't giving them what they deserve to live (or they jobs do, it's just isn't enough in this world).

Agree, perhaps that is a better way of describing them. Thank you. People live the only way they learned how to live. Once you know better, you do better:)
