Great question. Lipoprotein A levels have a strong genetic preponderance. They do worsen with poor lifestyle choices. But there’s really no medication to take to help mitigate the implications around Lipo protein A-levels. The keys lifestyle changes. Low carbs, lots of vegetables and protein. Having LDL checked has limited value because it gives an absolute value, but it doesn’t show the size of the particles. And particle size matters. Small LDL particles are sticky, cause heart attacks and strokes.
