It is heartening to once again read the words in full and to reflect upon the time when those words were newly published, and it is heartening to now be here in this place with like-minded souls. I was privileged to be "in the room" (in a virtual sense) when those declarations were issued, and to this day I regularly recall much of the detail and of course the sentiment. Sometimes, I think to myself that nothing really changes except perhaps the amount of grey in my beard..........but we must keep the faith and together strive for better tomorrows for ourselves and our children.
