Im not a scholar but here is my 2 cents.. Muslims firmly believe that pedophilia is a grave sin—one of the most forbidden and frowned-upon acts in our religion. Islam prioritizes the protection and well-being of children, and any form of harm or exploitation is completely condemned. About your claim regarding Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Aisha, historical context is important. Marriages in the 7th century were very different from today’s standards, not just in Arabia but across many societies. Plus, Aisha (RA) grew to be one of the greatest scholars in Islamic history, teaching and shaping Islamic jurisprudence. As for age in marriage, Islam doesn’t set a specific number because people mature at different rates. Instead, the focus is on puberty and readiness. Even in the U.S., different states have different ages of consent—some as low as 14. However, in modern times, all Muslims follow the legal age set by their country’s laws, even if a girl reaches puberty earlier. This is because Islam teaches us to obey the law of the land and respect the leadership of the country we live in.
