Yes, humans repeat history. Another depression is coming. Instead of the roaring 20's we had the roaring teens and beginning of the 20's. 100k cars will suck all the life out of anyone paying for them. If small banks can't continue, they need to fail. Making good loans instead of bad ones will show who is really making good decisions. In America today, you can build skills and create wealth. No one said anything would be easy.
