I'd like to point out how pivotal **democratization** was for the uncovering of these massacres. Democracy has gotten a seriously bad rep as of late, especially among americans, and especially among american **right wingers.** There are posts on forums I expected much more off, where the vast **majority are against democracy** as a whole. It wasn't until South Korea democratized, that the massacres of Bodo League was allowed to be discussed. Up until then, any academic inquiry or study into the history of the Synghman Rhee regime was simply either not allowed, or nobody even dared to try. The right wing, is extremely misguided, on multiple levels, they are so misguided that I'm un-ironically taking upon myself the label of leftist, both to distance myself from these views, but also to make a point to the right, that they are **more** misled than the left. At least the left isn't actively against virtues and morals, and cares about justice. The right has been brainwashed to such an extent that they reject morality as whole.
