This is a very helpful and thought-provoking discussion. I know nothing about the Yoruba people other than that their spiritual beliefs directly oppose traditional Western thought. Fascinating counter to what we've always been taught is true. All I know is that this seems a lot deeper and more profound than the id, ego, and superego. Different selves in different dimensions? Do they integrate? Or is integration not possible because they're all distinct but don't exactly communicate with each other? Blows my mind.
