Mr. Nietzsche couldn't help but be bothered about the same aspects of modernity and mankind that plague me today. It is far easier and less demanding to complain about the overlords than to just do what one can. For example, in these parts, for a while, the non conforming types were ranting about smart meters' invasion into our inner sanctum of life. Those same non coms just did a lot of whining about how unfair it was, and how powerless they were etc. etc. We, my little family, (the least powerful family on earth) said no thank you (persistently), spent a few dollars and had it removed. I have yet to find a non com who has done it. I could give other examples, but doing good means doing hard most of the time. If a penny saved is a penny earned then saying, doing and thinking what is good will be the "earning" of a better world. So much to say-- but we made a choice a number of years ago and decided that if something were marketed as making our lives more convenient or easier we would think carefully about saying yes to it. Mostly we just pass on easy and convenient. Just my take--- apologies for taking things a bit out of theme.
