You are asking some really good questions. It may not be easy for others to feel empathy....as an educator...for the most part...we are in the....bad guy business....so to say. Not all cops are bad cops...etc... However, it is the good ones that we all remember...maybe forever...something like that. Not possible to replace a good teacher with a robot. Replace a bad teacher with a robot? Evaluation - that is one painful topic. Yes? Not sure how they let the students rate the professor, unless it has a direct relation to some kind of bonus structure. Not an evaluation of goodness of teacher, but more of how much more should they get paid this year...did they do a good job? Otherwise...how is a student qualified to evaluate a professor? Odd stuff for sure. This used to occupy a lot of my mind time...how to get a good evaluation?? Tough stuff for sure. What do I value most? Accuracy and depth of knowledge in their field. Peace.
