As per usual, you can thank the Western powers for that. More specifically the British when they established the Radcliffe Line on 08/17/1947. This demarcation resulted from the partition of British India into two independent dominions: the Hindu-majority India and the Muslim-majority Pakistan. 🗺️ The Radcliffe Line The Radcliffe Line was drawn by Sir Cyril Radcliffe, a British lawyer with no prior experience in India, who was appointed as the chairman of two boundary commissions—one for Punjab and one for Bengal. His task was to divide the provinces based on religious majorities, while also considering factors like natural boundaries, communications, and irrigation systems. The final decision was made by Radcliffe alone, and the line was published just two days after the independence of India and Pakistan. 📍 Legacy of the Partition The Radcliffe Line not only divided the provinces of Punjab and Bengal but also set the foundation for the India-Pakistan border. The partition led to significant demographic shifts, with millions of people migrating across the new borders based on religious affiliations. This mass migration resulted in widespread violence and loss of life, marking the partition as one of the most traumatic events in South Asian history. Today, the legacy of the Radcliffe Line continues to influence the geopolitical landscape of South Asia, with ongoing disputes and conflicts, particularly over the Kashmir region. Thank you Western World, the existence of your benevolent, almighty intellectual superiority is amazing for the rest of the world. *Not.* I know I know... Technology. But not democracy. Don't even utter those words, ick.

Aristotle wrote about Democracy a long time ago. We are supposed to be a Republic. The British put a line in the dirt, they don't make the people fight each other.
