African Americans with melanoma have a lower survival rate compared to Caucasians. Darker skin tones: Melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color, can protect against some UV damage, but it may also increase the risk of certain types of skin cancer. Melanoma: African Americans are more likely to develop acral lentiginous melanoma, which occurs under the nails, on the palms of the hands, or on the soles of the feet. Skin Cancer in African Americans While African Americans have a lower incidence of skin cancer compared to other racial groups, they are at a higher risk of developing certain types of skin cancer and experiencing worse outcomes.

Lmfao once again, stating some shit you don't know. A Google researcher at its finest lol. The reason black people experience lentiginous melanoma is because since our skin is naturally dark, it makes it harder for us to be diagnosed with it compared to our lighter skinned counterparts. Blacks are not more susceptible to lentiginous melanoma....
