Under a sharia governance they'd have to justify their proposed laws and rulings as being in line with the Quran. Which is to say there is some check to the power in place, though I don't know enough to say how strong of a check it is.

Depending on who is reading the book and how they interpret the book is how a law will be made. This is no standard to base a society. Afghanistan trains boys to dance for men so the men can fuck the boys in the ass hole. It is justified in that Islamic country by people reading the Quran.

i'm just offering alternative. give people hope. christianity compromised. democracy system failed. communism didn't work. why not try sharia law? last resort. sink or swim.
