Think of it this way, the people at the tip top of the western world don't want to lose their control to China. They are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure this doesn't happen, including sucking every penny from the western world. It started in 2010 when China decimated Japans motor industry, then trumps trade war in 2016(when our living standards started to decrease), now this trade war has gotten so bad that they literally have to use propaganda to tell you otherwise.
