It's the way to survive and thrive. Other than small self sufficient communities, every other option comes with consequences. It only takes a few people to make a small paradise a reality. I'm still not sure if people are truly waking up or not, or just watching an awakening online. I'm truly blown away that here on suju, with so many smart and similarly thinking people, I can't find anyone to help me speed up my process and make freedom a reality for those of us who choose it. Just what is it that is holding people back. Why sit back and wait for what you see coming??

I can say clearly, only for me obvi, that what’s holding me back is getting passports for everyone, finding a job in or near Atlixco (other than Monsanto), going through the visa process, uprooting my kids, having them learn Spanish and become a part of a new country, a whole new life. I know it could be worth it but I’m a single mom and that’s an awful lot to do on my own. It’s all very stressful.

For a mom with kids I totally understand, I know in that position not much of anything is easy. And getting a job here is mostly out of the question. I worked hard for years to earn my position with my company, and there must have been some luck as well. I work in San Diego remotely. To escape one really needs some savings or some steady income stream of some type, it's nothing compared to buying a home in the US, but it's far from nothing. Once we're self sufficient the cost will be super low to nothing, but its a real process to get there. Maybe I'll find some help, and if so I will keep you and others in mind. I would love to be able to provide some significant assistance to good people. As I mentioned, it only takes a few to make it work financially because things are so cheap here. It's going to work for us alone, just takes some time and that is the real issue. Good thing is we're here so the hard part is behind.
